Preventative Maintenance

Good Maintenance is Better Business

At BAY we work with our customers to develop a customised Preventative Maintenance Programme moulded to meet the specific requirements of their business. Our maintenance team encompasses a broad spectrum of skill sets ranging from industrial cleaners, trades people, technicians and engineers.

The purpose of Preventative Maintenance is to service and rejuvenate equipment before parts begin to fail. A good maintenance strategy based on continual renewal of parts reduces the overall operating equipment risk of failure, prolongs the life at the optimum condition, quality and efficiency of plant and equipment, and reduces the risk of failure and resulting downtime.

We utilise a custom developed Cloud Maintenance Software to manage, control and record the preventative maintenance work carried out and to predict when further maintenance will be required.

Our Cloud Maintenance Software is built around a “time based” condition monitoring programme which allows the frequency of maintenance to be controlled for each component part, for a machine or a complete line or section of a factory. The frequency is determined from a combination of factors including historic data, OEM vendor recommendations, operating environment and feedback from existing service or maintenance team.  The software is web based and can be accessed from any PC to view the current status of any piece of equipment or production line.

Other inputs included in the development or management of a programme:

  • Trend analysis of existing downtime reports or reported failures
  • MTBF on equipment and mechanical components
  • Monitoring of spare parts usage to target problematic components or equipment

A comprehensive preventative maintenance programme from BAY will help customers reduce their maintenance costs and expenditure on spare parts and increase their equipment up time and efficiency.
